In the theme of “Brand Globalization”. No community and society can remain isolated from the forces of brand globalization. The collage was done with only two main elements, the Nike statue and Nike shoes. Collage by: Rene Quijada
The Nike Statue discovered in 1863
The original goddess Nike statue was eight feet tall and was created by a Rhodian sculptor sometime around 200 BC. The Nike statue was discovered on the Aegean island of Samothrace in 1863. Later it became a standard for men of the sea to christen the front of their ships with a statue of the likeness of Nike.
Nike officially became Nike Inc. in 1978
The company was founded on January 25, 1964 as Blue Ribbon Sports by Bill Bowerman and Philip Knight, and officially became Nike, Inc. in 1978. The company takes its name from Nike (Greek Νίκη pronounced [níːkɛː]), the Greek goddess of victory.
